Mine is definetly the haphazard collection of plates, platters, etc, I have started replacing them as they break with plain white tableware though.

Just a warning…I would wait until the kids are a bit older before going down the matching crockery route.

I’m pretty blase when it comes to my kitchen stuff. I have no qualms with throwing something out because I couldn’t be arsed cleaning it lol.

WineDee – I love it! Our kitchen crockery and glasses is a mismatch of goods my grandmother has won from Bingo over the years. She’s done really well. Unfortunately the prizes have gone down hill lately 😉

This sounds like so much fun! I would totally love to do this! But for now we have a dodgy old kitchen so until I can have a beautiful new kitchen I won’t risk it. Though I am told that in the early stages of my recovery (and I have no memory of this at all!) I went through my wardrobe and threw out 3 big garbage bags full of clothes. I did the same to my hubby’s clothes and the bathroom. Apparently I got stopped there because I had started to throw out things that everyone knew I would be upset about! There is something really therapeutic throwing things away when you have no emotional attachment or memory of them!

I hate matching kitchen stuff. We keep a pretty bare minimum of plates and bowls. It does mean more washing up but also we have a bright orange old kitchen with barely any storage space so we can’t have a lot.

We had plain white too, but square! It was a right pain in the ass! It looks nice but is horrible to wash and dry and stack. Especially when the other plates were round.

You crack me up! I don’t think I could bring myself to willingly smash things, and if I did I’m so accident prone I would probably cut myself in the process.
That story about the ex-boyfriend was a laugh, although I suppose it wasn’t funny at the time. It should be used as a story to warn people of the perils of cheating ;).
