Yep, I hear you Becky! I wouldn’t have a third unless I was sure I wanted another CHILD, not just to try for a girl. Though I would love another boy now, funny how having two has taught me that all children are completely different and not just a ‘sex’.

I know, I read articles in magazines all the time where people have said they can’t wait to have children and will have one boy and one girl … though, if you’re rich and famous then the option IS there to choose now isn’t it?

Yep, totally agree that people now associate boisterous and noisy as naughty because the world has changed so much! People are used to children sitting quietly on devices I think and when they act like children they can be a bit put out! My boys are definitely full on at times, bless them 🙂

Thanks Nikki, I appreciate that. It’s true isn’t it, it’s so un-PC to say you are disappointed in something these days so it’s usually kept bottled up and hidden but it’s part of life! I love being mum to boys now, it is incredibly rewarding and they sure do love their mama! x

I love this post so much! Not just about an initial disappointment in finding out the sex of your child, but so many other things can be applied here. Disabilities, life changes etc. We have to cut ourselves some slack on feeling the disappointment. Grow and get past it.

And children are such a gift, you were made to be the mom of boys and it looks like you are doing an incredible job of it. Mothering is the hardest job ever, but the most rewarding, isn’t it?

Boys are the sweetest and girls too. lol I have 2 of each. My boys are older now and they feel protective of me. they’re very loving and I agree with this! I can’t believe people say that stuff to you. How is it any of their business?
